Banish skin redness with La Roche Posay!

This post is something that will be of interest to those who suffer with Rosacea or facial skin redness.Skin issues like this effect a huge number of both women and men on a daily basis. I know so many people that would have very mild to extreme cases of it, however a lot of my friends just live with it as they feel not much can be done about their Celtic skin.

Thankfully about three weeks ago I was invited to the unveiling of La Roche Posay’s new product Rosaliac CC Creme which aims to correct and cover redness on the skins surface. Products of all kinds always interest me but particularly the kind aimed at helping others with dermatological issues. The French brand has made a strong name for itself as it provides affordable luxury skincare for every skin type. As a result I had high expectations prior to the launch and I was certainly not disappointed by what they had to offer.

How is it so effective? It’s full of antioxidants, has anti inflammatory properties and lots more fancy words like ‘ anti- microbial peptides protection’. Got it? Good..:)

What the ingredients exactly does:

It covers redness and corrects flaws, even flushing, whilst giving good coverage but with the light natural finish and glow to your skin. Throughout the day the product helps to sooth and protect your skin as well as ensuring redness is covered.

                                                           Colour: Fair to medium

When blended : very natural

My verdict:

I don’t suffer from this kind of skin issue so I enlisted the help of two friends who both found this product to be brilliant. It gives a ‘barely there’ natural look while covering their problem areas. The consistency of the product is excellent which lasted throughout the day. Judging by both of their reactions there is no doubt in my mind that this will be considered as a cult product by the end of the year by most women.

Helpful information for those affected by Rosacea:

1 : Things you may not have known,

which I certainly didn’t relating to skin redness, is that the following list can trigger it considerably – weather conditions such as, hot and cold weather, wind and sun exposure. Stress, alcohol, spicy foods, exercise, hot drinks and skincare products.

2: Try not to wash your face with tap water or let the shower run over your face for too long. Depending where you live the water might be quite hard which will cause Rosacea to flair up easily.

3:Stay away from toners, instead look to water sprays such as the one I mentioned below.

4: Avoid heavy cream based cleansers.

5: Try to use unscented skincare products and avoid products with essential oils.

6: Cleanse your face gently and be careful of facial scrubs as it’s important not to over rub the skin.

There is also a full range of Rosaliac products that have been out for some time now. If you don’t wear makeup or would like to use products to complement the CC cream, then the products below would be extremely helpful.
