60’s Chic

The return of the 60’s trend  has been quite popular this Autumn Winter and it’s set to be a big trend for the coming year also. To have a Winter take on this trend, I felt this effortlessly cool funnel neck swing dress from River Island was a must! Its simple, chic and incredibly comfortable! For dresses like this that sit so loosely, it helps to have fitted aspects to it such as fitted sleeves which adds structure – so you won’t look consumed by the fabric. Swing dresses tend to be generous in size so you will find yourself having to go down a size or even two sizes like I did. Here I’m wearing a size 12, which I judged based on the shape it gave around the bustline.

To keep in line with a sharp 60’s feel, these over the knee suede bootshad definitely caught my eye. This style of boot is extremely popular at the moment and they’re also extremely flattering as they elongate your legs making them appear taller and slimmer. For ladies that might struggle with boots, look to places like New Look, Evans and Simply Be who offer various wide calf and wide foot options.

To add some finishing touches to this look I added a faux fur fluffy bag which I just adored and my simple Daniel Wellington watch which channeled simple chic parisian style.
