Today's post is the first in the Style Me Curvy beach series, over the next few weeks there will be lots of beachwear inspiration for everyone. To kickstart the series in style I've teamed up with Marks and Spencer to show some swimsuit inspiration with a twist that's modern, feminine and fresh. You will also find beachwear pieces in the latter half of this post that will work really well for beach to bar looks.
This particular swimsuit comes in both regular and longer length styles. Any height can actually have a long torso, not just tall girls, so looking towards longer length styles will instantly be more comfortable as you will find the material won't gather or pull in certain areas. The overall style and colour was what drew me towards this piece in store so the fact that it comes in sizes 8-22 as well as having the length options was a great added bonus.
As swimsuits go this is classic with your modern twist with the Ikat print and on trend lace up detail at the front giving a hint of 70's inspiration. It has M&S slimming technology which I definitely noticed when I put it on, it was firm but comfortable control. In terms of cups, it has padded non wired cups that is more moulded than typical padded swimsuits. It will give you support for a full bust but it is also perfect for those who need to create shape even if you are smaller on top.

When it comes to holidays it's always nice not to make plans and just see where the day brings you. I like to have some key pieces in my suitcase that will double up for day and night. With that in mind this maxi dress is something which is actually extremely appropriate to be worn on to the beach or on it's own as a beautiful summer dress.
