The Autumn Occasion: Easy to dress up or down fashion

My final look from New York Fashion Week had to be smart and workable yet comfortable. For the day that was in it I was kickstarting the morning backstage at one of the biggest fashion powerhouses in the world, Proenza Schouler. So by the final day as much as I wanted to wear my Adidas all stars and a summer dress, it would probably have been fashion suicide! After I blogged backstage I had two shows to catch before running back to the hotel for a quick change before venturing to the airport and saying goodbye to New York. I opted for the abstract dress combination and an over the shoulder biker look ( embracing my inner New Yorker).

The cut is a classic a-line shape which is split between a black upper half and then met with a statement print of blue and grey horizontal stripes. Together it creates an extremely easy to wear style to flatter any body type possible. It’s a dress I think a lot of people are really going to love as one of those middle of the road formal style dresses – e.g – Can be worn to a wedding, or a big occasion but also could easily be dressed down for more of a formal work event or a University graduation. It’s ideal for petites also as it sits at the knee and falls into a dip hem at the back so it won’t make you appear shorter in any way.

Extra dress perks:

A huge variety of bra styles can be worn with this dress so weather you are fuller busted or smaller chested the wider straps enable you to wear your best fitting ”umpf’ bra as it has quite wide straps. Full strap detail can be seen here.
