Jumpsuit Chic – LFW Day 2

Day two of fashion week was another jammed packed day. There was eight shows, presentations and backstage previews to attend and while it was hectic it was quite exciting to see so diverse inspiration, themes and styles created by the various designers. On the day itself I was doing an Instagram takeover for Great Lengths so I was really keen to see the various beauty trends for A/W 2017 in particular. Markus Lupfer, Julien MacDonald and Ports 1961 were certainly in my top favorite shows from the day, everything from their designs to the hair and makeup details really stood out and I just couldn’t stop looking back over the show photos.

For this look I opted for an unusual one sleeve jumpsuitnumber from Asos. It was incredibly soft and looked far more expensive than it was! It’s ideal for tall girls as the leg length is quite long, but I just took up the ends with Wunderweb ( it’s like super glue but for clothing if you don’t want to sew!) inside two minutes so it was totally fine. I’m a huge jumpsuit fan and it’s something thats always acceptable for various occasions too. For the day that was in it, I wanted to integrate another key trend so I added a obi belt effect with a satin belt I had at home. Obi belts are everywhere at the moment and can be great to define your waistline but most of them are leather styles which I felt would be too heavy for this material. The jumpsuit looks great with or without a belt but it’s just an extra idea if you want to restyle something a different way.

To finish the look I layered a navy suede biker jacket over my shoulders and a new Zara bag I picked up recently which kept in line with the same colour palette. My new prized possession however, is a gift from one of my favourite jewellery designers, Chupi, an Irish designer. Her designs are so beautiful so I was really excited to wear one of her new Beauty In The Wild pieces – a stunning amethyst and silver ring at Fashion Week.  I love wearing Irish design pieces, especially when I’m away because it always reminds me of home.
