Gingham Style: Is It For You?

If you had asked me 5 weeks ago would I wear gingham?, that answer would have probably been no. Something about it just reminded me of Goldilocks or something from Little House On The Prairie so I just never really took to it personally. It wasn't until recently while I was out for the day and spilt coffee all over my first top, that I had no other choice but to run into a store a find something in time for my next meeting. I came across this top which I really liked from it's oversized sleeves to the gingham print being broken by pink floral embroidery detail. It worked as a perfect look to add oomph to a classic pair of jeans or trousers.

At the moment gingham is certainly something you will see everywhere and anywhere from tops to dresses, jumpsuits to accessories. And while I am slowly dipping my toes into it, I feel that if you are unsure of this style but would love to try it - look to pieces that have an interesting shape or style that you are usually drawn to, be it a skirt, a t-shirt or even a pair of heels. This way you won't find it out of your comfort zone too much but still have some SS17 trend charm to your look.

Today I've put some various ideas below for those who might be gingham obsessed or like me will be picking and choosing just key ideas to add to my wardrobe.
