City Break Style

Today’s look is something easy but practical for either travelling, packing for a city break or just some weekend style inspiration. I wanted to pick some colourful pieces considering its summer but that would also be easy to restyle or mix and match to maximise your luggage space. Biker jackets as you all know are one of my fashion weaknesses, I adore them! They literally add a chic edge to almost any outfit – add it over a block coloured dress, paired with an a-line skirt for more SJP/ Sex In The City vibes or even with a pair of tailored culottes. The style opportunites are endless which is why some kind of biker jacket is always in my suitcase! Today I picked a bold red shade just to give that extra summer feel!I paired it with a cute statement t-shirt you’ll see in better detail further down. It’s a style of tee that looks great paired with a tailored blazer also for a more of a smart casual look too!

For jeans I opted for a 3/4 length ripped hem style which teamed something trend led with practicality for either airport attire or if you’re in a city where the weather is mixed. During the day the jeans work great with even the most basic top and for an evening out simply just add a pair of high heels to this look and you have a fabulous day to night outfit. When it comes to city style – comfort shoes are my must have and my Adidas Superstar trainers are my go-to so far this summer.  Pick a pair of trainers you think will work with various pieces, like casual dresses, skirts, jeans etc – I’m currently saving for a statement pair of gucci trainers ( I’ll be waiting awhile!!) but alas the trainer trend has certainly stolen my heart and my feet are certainly thankful for that too! For bags, I always bring something neutral you can wear with any outfit day or night. I chose this more padded Chanel inspired bag for todays shoot because it held A LOT and I thought it would be practical for fellow ” Let’s Bring The Kitchen Sink With Me” fashionistas!
