What's in my beauty bag this Summer

This has been a really popular request over the last few weeks. So I thought I would concentrate on some of my most used products from the past two months.

I’ve kept my beauty products quite simple because I don’t like to use too much makeup during the day. With my line of work, natural makeup is the preferred look for going to castings. I put a lot of concentration on the condition of my hair because it’s highlighted, so there are almost equal haircare products in proportion to my summer makeup.

Haircare

Normally I have thick hair, but the heat has a tendency to make my hair look flat after a few hours. John Frieda’s Luxurious Volume shampoo and condition has been brilliant for helping my hair to look full especially on long days at a shoot. On a day off, I usually soak my hair in L’Oreal Expert Hydra Repair. It’s extremely hydrating and it gives a great natural beach look to your hair which I really like about it.

My John Frieda Frizz Ease it an absolute Summer essential for every women. The one I am currently using is the thermal protection Frizz Ease. Apply it onto wet hair before blow drying. It will create a smooth finish to your hair but it will also help to protect it from heat damaged at the same time. I also use it after I’ve dried my hair to give it an extra shine and gloss. This is a particularly great buy for holidays.

Makeup

As most of you know, Mac Face and Body in C2 is my favourite foundation. You can apply it lightly or even add extra layers if you like and it will still look very subtle. It’s a great option for the heat as your pores won’t clog up as easily as they would if you were to wear thicker and heavier foundations such as Mac studio fix or certain Lancôme foundations. My mascara of the moment is Estée Lauder’s ‘Sumptuous Extreme Multiplying Volume Mascara’ in extreme black 01. I find it great for everyday wear as it doesn’t clump and it will leave you with beautifully full lashes. My Summer scent is Miss Dior by Dior. I hadn’t used this perfume for so long that I had actually forgotten how nice it is. It’s quite sweet but not overpowering and it leaves a lasting scent for several hours. The blusher as you can see has been used a lot! It’s one of the cheapest I own at around €4/£3.45 but it is fantastic quality similar to high end brands such as Smashbox and Mac. It’s a defining blusher by Catrice called Love & Peach 030. Apply it lightly for a soft hint of colour and definition, and build it up if you wish. My concealer is Double Wear by Estée Lauder. It offers great coverage on small areas and it also works extremely well as a highlighter. The coverage will be set for the day. For lips, Carmex is my best friend. This product works brilliantly for keeping your lips hydrated. It gives a nice shine and light gloss to my lips and lasts a really long time.
