Digital forest

At the moment I am slowly saying goodbye to Summer as I begin to prep my wardrobe for the Autumn and Winter. I’m making a serious effort this time round to integrate more colour as opposed to just black. When I was asked to do a outfit post by Littlewoods Ireland, this colourful digital printed dress by their new Definitions collection had my name written all over it. In the AW 2013 catwalk shows digital print was a keen favourite with designers such as Marni, showcasing wild and wonderful forest scenes. Emilio Pucci and Holly Fulton with beautiful abstract and Art Deco detail. Blue Marine and Iceberg both with soft hues to bold optical illusion prints. The dress I chose has a nice combination of everything that is on trend for the upcoming season, broken up with two black panel detailing on each side. The dress is loose fitting, which is a popular shape at the moment by a lot of designers. A minus would be that it doesn’t give shape to your body and putting a belt with it would just ruin the beautiful detail. If this bothers you then you should go down a dress size. The plus’s, it is unbelievably comfortable, fully lined and so pretty that I would happily live in it for the next two weeks. It even has secret pockets at the front!:) The dress would also look great dressed down with a pair of black leggings and some biker boots. It is also available in a petite fit for my petite and curvy readers.

The shoes are by Fearne Cotton. I really love her shoe designs at the moment. They seem to be made for women with sensitive feet, like myself, as they have great cushioning on the inside. They make you feel like you could wear them for hours as they have a good supportive block heel and a platform at the front. Lou.x
