With summer officially leaving us, I’mreally looking forward to delving into all the key trends the autumn winter has to offer us ladies. Grunge glamourlooks have flooded the high street these past ten days. What is brilliant about it is that it’s really easy, accessible and affordable to achieve. Take River Island, Simply Be and New Look for example, my clothing picks here are all for under £25/€30.

The term grunge reminds most of us of the 90’s, but this time around its been given more of a polished, grownup look. The chic element has been integrated through combining a grunge piece, say a bomber jacket or rocker style T-shirt, with a tailored item. Pair it with a beautifully cut pencil skirt or a pair of tailored trousers. This gives a great look, giving shape to your body along with it.If you want to jazz up your wardrobe with just one or two items, I’ve chosen some beautiful pieces that will work perfectly.

To really nail the trend this season biker boots are an absolute must. There is a huge selection out at the moment whether you chose a flat boot or high heel versions. It will make a lot of outfits or help to recycle older ones. My personal favourite is Carvela. I have an amazing pair from last year which owe me nothing. It has seen me through the winter, on freezing shoot locations to running around for castings. For a budget alternative, look to Primark and Next. Tube skirts are great to add shape to your body. Busy patterns like number 3 are an extremely flattering skirt option instead of black.

Tartan is a keen favourite this A/W. If this is not your thing, try something a little paired back. A plain colour with a tartan trimming, a clutch bag or even a tartan scarf. Denim is working its way into A/W which is great news for those of you who invested a lot into denim over the summer.

These looks are great for the university fashionista. Number 11 is super cosy ( just add a warmer top underneath) . You can recycle these looks quite easily. For example number 13, wear it on its own, pair it with a biker jacket and some leggings or add a thin black jumper over it to create a new look. The little black skirt , number 15, will be a perfect winter staple that will go with so many things! 🙂 Which look is your favourite?
