Review: The Tan Bag by Tan Organic

That time of year has come where the last hint of a summer glow has evaporated thanks Winter. Fake tan is, as a result, one of the most popular buys around this time. I for one am a fan even if it’s just to add a spruce of colour to my milk bottle legs! Finding tan for me however is kind of difficult for a few reasons.

1- I have sensitive and dry skin so certain brands can really dehydrate my skin even when I lash on body moisturiser.

2- I have asthma. I’m not a huge sufferer compared to some, but aerosols or moose’s with a strong aroma really effect me.

3 – As a model I can’t take the risk of streaks or something that looks.. Em, Fake!:)

I was sent details recently about The Tan Bag from Tan Organic and I just instantly wanted to know more about it. The name gives it away as yes it is 100% organic. It has an Aloe Vera base and contains zero synthetic ingredients or colourings which I was delighted about. The set is actually half price at the moment so it is really good value for money containing their main product, Tan Organic in 100 ml as well as 100 ml Oil Arganic, a organic bag, a tan application glove and a tan erase mitt.

Everything was a first for me except the tan erase mitt which is just a fabulous invention! The tan itself has an extremely light orange scent, nothing over powering. It develops into a nice light caramel shade, if you wanted a darker shade just add a second coat. Use the Oil Arganic a day after you have first applied the tan to help prolong the colour as well as helping the tan fade nicely. You can even use the oil on it’s own, for your hair, face, stretch marks etc. It has similarities to Bio Oil but it doesn’t leave that greasy feel afterwards. The self tanning glove is fantastic quality. It’s double sided, very thick and extremely soft. When you apply the tan to the glove, very little product is actually needed as it won’t absorb the product like other tanning gloves can do. It acts as a barrier so it spreads the tan really easy. I didn’t need to use the tan eraser but it’s there if you need it. Sometimes with various tans, hands can look blotchy or the tan can gather in one area so it would be great for that. You just use it lightly in a slow circular motion for literally 3 seconds and it’s gone!:)

Overall as a tan bag is has everything you need down to the finest detail. What I liked about it the most was that it’s approved by the Irish eczema society so it means that even the most sensitive skin can use it. It’s currently on sale for €39.99 for this set, usually retailing at €79.99, so it is definitely going onto my gift guide recommendations.
