Pastel Dream

Pastels are something I have certainly paid a lot more attention to this Summer whether it may be through accessories or in one full colour block like the dress above or the mint dress I recently wore here. This particular dress by Love Label was sent to me to review from Littlewoods Ireland. The shade is a cornflower blue, in some lights it looks like a very faint lilac, a colour which is quite easy to wear for a lot of skin tones.

This style of dress I have noticed to be a popular choice recently on the Highstreet; a combination of frilled detail with a midi dress. The frilled front detail was what caught my eye initially, however, if you are bigger chested and do not want to draw more attention to your chest then this detailing is a not for you. For smaller to medium busts this kind of detail is a big plus as gives the illusion of a fuller chest while also adding more proportions to the rest of your body. So for example this dress would work really well for pear shapes or pencil frames who want to create more of a curvier appearance.

In terms of fabric the dress is nice and light which would work well for Summer weather and holiday season. Overall I would have prefered to see some sort of lining underneath, but if this is not something that would bother you then this really is a great find particularly for €42/£32. In terms of sizing in Love Label I am wearing a size 16 compared to some of the other Littlewoods brands such as Definitions where would I take a size 14 (42EU).

For accessories I thought I would indulge into the pastel colour wheel! I pair the dress with this mint clutch from Primark, my off white shoes from Boohoo, and to pull everything together this statement necklace from Zara which is full explosion of pastel prettiness!:)
