Urban Chic

Last week I tapped into my inner Sporty Spice which you can see here, this week I’m opting for some urban meets girly style. It’s a look which you can dress up or down quite easily as well as layering it as much as you like. Think wet look leggings, a chunky black scarf. a black parka and your good to go.

The dress is one of my favourite purchases recently as it has a beautiful monochrome washed up print with a bold blue throughout. These kind of dresses I call the illusion dress, where the print is perfectly placed with two black panels either side, creating a perfect curved illusion shape. It’s ideal for any body type, whether you are more of a pencil frame and you want to create the illusion of curves, or perhaps you want to balance out a curvy frame. If print scares you, opt for a similar style with two contrasting block colours to create a similar effect. Extremely figure flattering and something you can wear through every season.

For accessories I’ve teamed the dress with some chunky open toe boots which feel like you’re walking on air – spotted recently in Primark. The beanie hat is from a set of two from Asos, they come in a variety of colours for €14. Together they give that urban feel to the look. White clutches are set to be a Spring Summer favourite yet again, so I added this flat white and gold minimalist clutch. For finishing touches my Marc Jacobs watch was just enough as the dress speaks for itself.
