Today is all about creating a quick and easy Christmas party look. I’ve teamed up with the makeup brand Wet’N’Wild because I wanted to show you an effective look thats extremely affordable too. Colour Icon Eyeshadow Palette: Shade Tunnel Vision
First up is the Wet N’ Wild Colour Icon palette. It comes in various colours, but for today I wanted to stay away from my browns and nudes and go for something quite festive! This palette is unbelievably handbag friendly and it’s ideal for those who may not be 100% confident with applying eyeshadow that’s outside of their usual comfort zone. This gives you a step by step guide of exactly where each colour should go listed as “Base, Eyelid, Crease, Browbone, Definer ” meaning you really and truly can’t go wrong. Phew! 🙂 It’s priced at just €3.49 with a great coverage in terms of pigment. It comes with it’s own travel sized brushes but for any palette I always like to use my normal sized Technique brushes as I find it gives better control.
Colour Icon Brow Pencil: Shade Blonde Moments
The Wet N’ Wild Eyebrow Icon Pencil and Mascara are two key products I’ve been using since the Summer, if you follow me on Instagram you might have seen me chat about it over there. The eyebrow pencil comes in a variety of shades and has a wax like finish meaning everything stays in place for the day. It’s €1.99 so I tend to buy about ten together to make sure I’m fully stocked up!
I find it best to brush through your brows first then gradually apply the pencil. When you have finished, gently brush your brows again to ensure you get a perfectly natural effect.
H20 Proof Eyeliner
After I applied the eyeshadow today I used thisH20 Waterproof Liquid eyeliner. It’s a product I haven’t used before, the consistency is easy to spread and dries quite quickly which I liked. It’s a medium shade of black as opposed to a stark black which blended really nice with today’s eyeshadow. Price €3.99.
Max Volume Mascara Plus
The Max Volume Mascara Plus, for me, is in line with many high end mascara brands I’ve used. My biggest tests for mascara are 1: The time it takes to apply effectively. 2: Does it transfer onto your eyelids – if yes then it goes in the bin! 3: Can you take it off easily at night without your eyelashes feeling delicate or brittle. This particular one has passed all these tests with flying colours for months now and while it doesn’t specifically say waterproof I do find that it has been wonderful in all weather conditions!
