OOTD: Baroque pants

Last week I did a shoot near Liverpool Street in London with lifestyle photographer Peter Whitfield. I happened to have had my new favourite trousers with me so we took some snaps while we were at the location.

I really like all the baroque inspired clothing out at the moment, so when I saw these trousers in monochrome they had to be mine! 🙂 They are from a brand called Blue Vanilla which you can find at Awear online or in their store. I hadn’t heard of the brand before, but I will be paying more attention to them in the future. Their sizing works under S, M & L. Realistically ranging from a size 6-18. Usually when I hear ‘large’ I think 12-14, but actually the brand are very generous in sizing.

They have all the qualities of Harem style pants only they are more fitted around the bum and front area. They are so comfortable you could probably sleep in them if you really wanted to. It’s no surprise that they quickly became part of my working wardrobe for travel or like last week, going to a shoot because I wanted to be comfortable but feel dressed.

It was extremely warm so I paired them with a black cotton body top which has a rounded plunge at the front and back. I brought my leather jacket as a back up just in case it rained ; unpredictable weather everywhere lately! If you wanted to dress this look up, a tailored black blazer and a black silk vest or blouse would work perfectly.
