Yesterday I came across an incredibly inspiring recreation of Beyonce’s “*** Flawless” video from one of my favourite bloggers Gabi Greg who runs the highly successful blog GabiFresh.com in the U.S. This video is the brain child and production of Gabi who wanted to voice a strong message of body positivity to the media and fashion industry. With the joint support of model bloggers Nadia Aboulhosn and Tess Munster they drove the point that size does NOT need to come into the equation ‘to claim your flawlessness’ as an individual. As a blogger and a model myself you are open to the public eye particularly online. You are open to negativity, the “trolls” and those who feel that perhaps you should dress in a certain way. This video made the bullied teenager inside of me smile from ear to ear. These three inspirational women have their own unique style and a great following which they have gained through pure hard work. In particular they send a great message for young girls worldwide to showcase that you don’t need to conform to societies standard of perfection to look and feel beautiful. And in true Queen Bey Sasha Fierce style, they have given us a strong taste of female empowerment, feminism and body love! ” This video is dedicated to the mainstream media, to the fashion industry, to internet bullies, and to anyone else who thinks it’s their right to try to make us feel less than because of their insecurities. #everyBODYisflawless “- Gabi Greg via GabiFresh.com
