Transitional wardrobe pieces

Figuring out your wardrobe in between seasons can be stressful. Bikini season may be officially over but that doesn’t mean we have to turn our wardrobes into full Autumn Winter mode just yet. Today I’ve picked pieces that can easily be worn from now well into the colder months. Below are lots of choices with three different looks from the bold, to pastels and colour blocking that won’t have a specific seasonal timeline.

Black and white is certainly an easy choice when it comes to transitional dressing. This long line white blazer is ideal for the weather at the moment and can easily be layered under a coat coming into the Winter months. The houndstooth trousers are a bit more daring that will take you from the office with a simple black top to a night out with the girls paired with this crop top.

For practicality I had to add in this fantastic collar from River Island. It’s a piece you can easily add under to a top or a dress to give it an entire new and smart look without having to worry about a shirt fitting correctly. To add some colour, a pop of blue will be a great addition to your wardrobe. And as it’s a colour favourite for A/W, it will really add to an outfit even over the Christmas party season paired with a sparkly LBD number.

Model wears: Simply Be – croc textured blazer €62/£50, zip detailed skort: €37/£30 sizes 12-32 Blue Blazer: H&M  €37/£29.99 size 6- 20 River Island Crop Top €27/£22  size 6-18 River Island Collar Bib €12/£10 Houndstooth trousers: River Island – €50/£40 Leopard print sneakers : H&M €16/£12.99

Pastel shades are still our friend even on dull days. Something simple like a cropped jumper worn on the model here gives just a hint of cosiness to any pair of jeans.  Layer it with this pastel coat from Primark or mix it up with this mesh and floral top for a true ‘pretty in pink’ vibe.

The handbag is one of my favourites from Primark’s Limited Edition range. It has lots of designer qualities about it and certainly a bargain find for €15/£11!

Colour blocking is a fantastic way to keep your wardrobe looking sharp and colourful. Mix and match this mesh panel pencil skirt with a variety of tops, or keep it simple in a plain black colour. A blue dip hem dress is multifunctional and also looks great with opaque tights coming into the colder weeks.

When it comes to t-shirts, statement tee’s are going nowhere fast and they are certainly a good way to add some fun into any outfit.
