Cosmopolitan #FashFest

Following Fashion Week Cosmopolitan kicked off their very own #FashFest to the public for the week. The biggest night was Thursday which hosted an incredible fashion show. I was asked to go along as one of their VIP bloggers which gave me the chance to check out some behind the scenes makeup looks and to meet some fabulous bloggers who will be at the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards next week.

The event was bigger than I had anticipated, held in the conference centre in Battersea Park which was full of beauty bars from makeup to even hair station for quick up styles or waves. Celebrities such as Millie Mackintosh, cast members from Made In Chelsea and many more well known faces headed to the main stage area where the Catwalk show would kick off hosted by MTV’s Laura Whitmore.

                                                             

                                                             

                                               Behind the scenes at Cosmo’s #FashFest

All of the hair looks were by the hair guru team at Headmasters who opted for a polished finished for each model. They parted hair in the centre and placed into a pristine a low ponytail with not a hair out of place. For makeup, the Urban Decay team created a look of beautiful illuminated skin that was complemented by a brown smokey eye.

There was every trend you could think of which was sectioned off from monochromes, to checkered looks, pastel prettiness to Winter ‘white out’ looks. When it came to coats,  choices were plentiful from parkas to gilets, oversized styles, and everything in between. All I can say is it was dangerous for all of our bank accounts that evening, especially at the bloggers table! 🙂              

This was the first year Cosmopolitan have done a show of this kind. It was a brilliant girls night out, even as a blogger as it was great to get to meet more fellow bloggers and indulge in our obsession with fashion and beauty together! 🙂 Now I’ll just be counting down the days to pay day!
